Atleast two persons of Kausi Bazar area received serious injured being assaults by Army jawans at Athiabari camp on Saturday night under Serfanguri police station of Kokrajhar district.

Former Assam minister and Kokrajhar east MLA Pramila Rani Brahma has condemned the assualts on common publics in the check militancy in the region nad demanded atrocities on public should be stopped and nabbed main militancy.

The Army jawans from Athiabari camp picked up two persons from Kausi Bazar area from their bed under Serfanguri police station on Saturday last night to check NDFB militancy and later assualted seriously with butt,stick and electrict shot at them and later they were admitted to Kokrajhar Rup Nath Civil Hospital by MLA Pramila Rani Brahma on Sunday afternoon.

They injured were identified as Ranjit Narzary and Hitlar Basumatary,both from Kausi Bazar area.

According to injury victims the Army jawans took away from their bed at around 9.30 pm at Athibari where they were kept under tied of mouth with black clothes and beaten to injured asking to reveal where about G Bidai,Kurwi,Batha,NDFB(S) leaders and later they charged with electrict shot to force information NDFB(S) leaders in the area.

The injureds have also told that the Army jawans assaulted them seriously and luckily they rushed to hospital after intervention MLA Brahma.They said that they don’t know where about NDFB leaders are living and using absed camps.

The jawans intention was not well and wanted to shot at them,but some how they safe,injured victims told.

 

MLA Brahma strongly condemned and demanded atrocities on common publics should be stopped.The common peoples should not be harrassed in the name of militancy search and publics should be free from all kinds of militancy harrasements.

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party. Motor vehicle association warns for non-cooperation in election
