Assam Congress leaders are holding a brainstorming session to discuss the party’s poll prospect after Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP. Senior party leaders have agreed to go all out against BJP at all level saying that the have a number of issues to approach the voters in the run up to the assembly polls early next year. AICC leaders Dr CP Joshi, Abinash Pandey along with state Congress president Anjan Dutta and Chief minister Tarun Gogoi attended the meeting at the Rajiv Bhawan.
The district level senior leaders assured the central leadership that Congress has good chance to retain power for fourth consecutive term. “Whatever our government did even in the remote areas of the state. These will help us woo the voters,” said the district leaders. Some other leaders asked the government to development works and to ensure that these percolate benefit for the poor people. The central leader asked the party and the government to work jointly to ensure yet another term.
