The disquieting revelation has come to light when police interrogated Mostor Ali Laskar along with his two sons Afzal Hussain and Azmal Hussain after the cache of ammunition were seized from their house.
The bomb was meant to blow up the Sadarghat bridge in Silchar, the staple means of surface communication between Assam and Manipur. They confessed their ugly links with top NSCN-K leaders who were suspected to have been hiding in Manipur.
According to police, Atabur kept two NSCN (K) leaders at his house three days before the raid where the ammunitions were seized from his residence.
