BP unified with BPF

In a well gesture of party strength of BPF ahead assembly election in Bodoland region of Assam, a grand unification of BPPF with BPF under the leadership of Rabiram Narzary, president of BPPF was held on SUnday at Tulungapuri Dotma if Lower Assam's Kokrajhar district. 

Narzary, was accompanied party general secretary and thousands of party activists and supporters, declared party's unified with BPF to create more development and unity among society in the region.  He said that his party come into unified to meet healthy and integrated through working of peace and prosperity. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BPF supremo and BTC chief, party MP, MLA, senior party leaders were also present on the unification function. 

It is to be noted that both Narzary and Mohilary factionised in BPPF and BPF party in 2005 after signing historical Bodo Accord in 2003. 

Mohilary has welcome Rabiram Narzary and party members in the meeting said that now his party become a grand unified. He also said that his party will score good result in the assembly election

NSLA cadre held

Security forces arrested a hardcore cadre of National Santhali Liberation Army (NSLA) today from Gopaljhora area under Bagribari police station in Kokrajhar district. Acting in tiptop information about hiding of militants, a joint team of Assam Police and Army carried out a search operation this afternoon and able to arrest a NSLA cadre.The cadre was identified as Sunil Hembrom. A 9 mm pistol, four live ammunition, a mobile handset was recovered from his possession, a senior police officer said.

2 golds, 1 silver in World Police Fairfax & Fire game

 Archer Binuma Brahma of Assam police has won 2 gold and one silver medal in the ongoing World Police Fairfax & Fire game being held at Virginia, USA which started from 27 June to 6 July, 2015. Bimuma won the golds in Field Target and Target events and collect the silver medal in 3D archery event.

Dr Birubala Rabha conferred UN Brahma award

Why Bodo missing in NRC forms?

The Bodo people want NRC forms in their own language which would be comfortable for them. The demand was raised earlier. 5 timber smugglers held

Kokrajhar police claimed to have arrested five timber smuggles on Thursday hours after they attacked 5 forest officials in Jharabari in the wee hours.Policemen probing the incident have been interrogating the arrested youths to extract more information on the entire network.Attacks on forest officials by timber smugglers are not new. It has been taking place at regular intervals from 2011, mostly, in Haltugaon and Kachugaon Forest division in Kokrajhar.

Despite a set of strictures timber smugglers are still active in the BTAD forest areas. Four forest officials sustained injury when timber smugglers attacked them at Jharbari in Kokrajhar district on Thursday. The incident of attack took place in the wee hours where a huge group of teak smugglers targeted Jharbari Ranger Manik Brahma along with three of his assistants. Others include Rajendra Muchahary, Prahlad Borgoyary and Amio Muchahary. Armed with sharp weapons and sticks, the smugglers numbering around 35-40 started beating up the forest officials as they spotted them travelling on Zypsi and a Tata mobile van which were also damaged.
