Body recovered

A body identified as Jadav Kisku,45, was recovered from Pakriguri village under Salakati police outpost this morning in Kokrajhar. It was suspected that Kisku was severely beaten to death by unidentified miscreants late last night in the area,police said.

Meanwhile, unknown miscreants torched a  hut, bound to open an election sub committee office at Kaliphukri last night under Kokrajhar PS.

Kokrajhar: Bodoland University (BU), a premier educational institution in BTAD region gets new Vice Chancelore on its administrative working. Kokrajhar ready for Lok Sabha elections

Kokrajhar is all set for upcoming Lok Sabha election on April 23 next as Election Commission of India (ECI)  announced dates of the election on Sunday. Speaking to media on Monday, Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Partha Prathim Majumdar said that the election in Kokrajhar Lok Sabha elections will be in  held over 2000 polling stations across the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat.
