CITU organizes rally in Kokrajhar
Hundreds of ICDS worker, helper, mid day meal workers and tea estate workers join hands with banner, placard in the rally demanding regularization of jobs,stop of price hikes and fill up vacant post lying in the state and centre government’s line departments across the country.
The rally was organized by Centre of Indian Trade Union (CITU), started from Rashmela ground via RNB Road to DC office,fly over and concluded at the same point. Ralliest demanded early regularization of jobs,who were engaged in ICDS,MDM,ASHA,NRHM and provide 18,000 as monthly salaries, stop huge prices hikes in the market which have been creating resented among citizens, allot pension schemes for engaged labor and employees are prominent demands of the rally.
Indumati Brahma,ICDS worker,Jayanti Basumatary,MDM worker said that they have been working in the ICDS schemes at a loose salary,yet they have not been got regular salaries.We have been deprived from different fronts of rights and infrastructural aspects in the schools,they said.
They demanded that government should take bold initiative to solve issue and problems face by ICDS and MDM workers.
Santash Guha,CITU leader told that government failed to check price hikes in the country. He has demanded government should come forward with positive step to facilitate peoples’ welfare measures so that citizens can get healthy living across the country.

Kokrajhar: A two day championship of 1st All Assam Tong-IL-Moo-Do championship 2019 was concluded today at Kokrajhar Govt HS &MP school ground.

Kokrajhar: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary said that BPF-BJP alliance will continue in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state. BPF will put its candidate in Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat only and extending support to the alliance partners in other seats of the state.
