Senior BJP leaders are believed to have decided to initiate action against Dimbeswar Das for allowing a junior engineer to tender apology by touching hi feet in Raha on Thursday.

The BJP leaders who discussed the controversy at a meeting n Guwahati agreed that the party is not part of it and blamed it all on the Raha MLA saying that the legislators are on the service of the people.

State unit president Ranjit Das also gave hint of an action against Das charging him with belittling the party image. 

Das drew huge flak from inside and outside the party and the government on Friday a day after the social media showed a junior engineer touching his feet tendering an apology for a verbal duel with the driver over a parking problem.
