A three day Youth Festival with colourful programme starts from Monday at Simbargaon playground in Kokrajhar district. The festival saw huge participants from different parts of the district.
The festival is being organized by BPF party in association with Youth BPF and Bodoland Students Union of Kokrajhar district unit. On it's first day of the programme, Rajib Brahma, BTC executive member and President of Youth BPF of Kokrajhar district unit and Derhasat Brahma, president Kokrajhar district unit of BSU hoisted party flag and union flag respectively followed floral tribute to martyrs by Derhasat Basumatary, former BTC executive member and president of Kokrajhar district unit BPF party.
Bibekananda Narzary, noted social activist inaugurated the sports event, Pradip Brahma, assistant director, SAI SAG, Kokrajhar.
Basumatary told that the BPF party has organized the first ever youth festival to give a competition environment among youths in the region. Several competition events have been organized in the three day programme scheduled, which included cultural, sports, literary on the occasion, he said adding that youths and participants from different corners of the district are participating. The BPF party was founded in 2005 and since then working for the all round development as well welfare for the peoples of the region. 'The BPF has been organizing the youth event to meet healthy integration among youths and different communities', Basumatary said.
BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, who is also BPF supremo will grace as chief guest, Forest ministet Pramila Rani Brahma, Rabiram Narzary, MLA are attending as guests on the concluding day of the event on April 5.
