Mohini Rabha, wife of Kalaguru Bishnuprasad Rabha has been admitted in the Tezpur Civil Hospital in Tezpur on 11-09-08 evening after she was complaining about her health condition. Details awaited.

Dolphin found dead in Jogighopa

A carcass of a sub-adult female Gangetic Dolphin (Platanista gangetica) was recovered by a joint effort of Aaranyak and Forest Protection Squad of Aie Valley Division from the Brahmaputra river at Jogighopa on 6th October 2008. Blast in Sivsagar

Creating panic among the common people, a bomb blasted in the Rang-ghar Chariali area, Sivsagar on today afternoon. According to the reports last came in, 10 people have been injured in the blast. Injured persons have been taken to the nearby hospital. No casualty has been reported so far. Security has been tightened in the entire Sivsagar Distrct following the incident.
