ABSU slams education department

The All Bodo Students’ Union(ABSU) has strongly criticised the education department alleging total  failure in enduring smooth functioning  in the state.

Addressing a press conference in Kokrajhar on Thursday, the student body leaders said thr students in Bodo medium are still deprived from getting sufficient textbooks as academic curriculum is going to end.

Promod Boro,president of the ABSU expressing unhappy over the present BJP led alliance government has been tactically deprived Bodo medium schools with appointing non-Bodo medium background teachers in Bodo medium schools.

 He said that it is well known fact for every one of Assam that how the education department discriminating Bodo medium through their policy from time and again since inception.

  “Still 800 post of High School teachers are lying vacant in BTAD four districts only (vacant are mainly Mathematics, General Science, Hindi) and thousands are still lying vacant in primary and upper primary schools in Assam. On the other hand, the thousands of primary schools are being run by single teacher,” he said.
