ABSU rejects AKRSU (P) recent remark challenging government to show courage by arresting ABSU president Pramod Boro, while condemning arrest of KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi. In a press release, Dipen Boro, vice president of ABSU central committee requested AKRSU (P) leaders to refrain from making irrelevant press statements mentioning ABSU and its members.Releasing a press release at Udalguri on September 16,he said that Pradip Roy,president and Gokul Barman, secretary of AKRSU (P) had issued a press release at Bongaigaon recently. While condemning government for provocative arrest of Ahil Gogoi as an anti national, AKRSU (P) leaders dared Assam government to show courage to arrest ABSU president Pramod Boro for his statements. Criticizing AKRSU (P) leaders for their arrogance,ABSU vice president said in the press release that they (AKRSU-P) must show respect to other organizations of Assam.According to him ABSU never patronized anti national activities but had been launching peaceful agitation activities for a separate state for Boro people."There is nothing wrong to demand a separate state for Bodos under the provision of Indian constitution as had also been done by various factions of AKRSU for granting of ST status",he said.Dipen Boro said that ABSU had always high esteem for Koch Rajbongshi people.AKRSU leaders had failed to convince government regarding their demands and they must not blame other organizations for it.He requested AKRSU (P) leaders to concentrate more on their activities rather than unnecessarily to attack ABSU.
