In a bid to hon the skills, Our ABC Academy had organised a day long workshop on career planning and skill development recently at its campus at Santipur in Sadiya.
It was organised to sensitise students on various attributes required for vibrant careers and how one may plan their careers. Ranjan K Baruah from North East Youth Foundation was the resource person where he focussed on different attributes like qualification, communication, hard work, passion, language, working in team, etc for a better career.
The interaction programme which was like flipped classroom discussed on many other aspects of skill development. Students were told that one may build their careers even without high qualification but s/he must possess skills to be successful.
Apart from students programme there was a workshop on effective teaching for sustainable development which was also moderated by same resource person.
There was discussion with the teachers how to engage students on different social issues for making a sustainable future. Different initiatives would be started in the school for engaging students for various creative activities.
The programme was chaired by Chirantan Baruah, HR manager of the school and attended by all teaching and not teaching staffs of the school.
