Free medical camp in Kokrajhar

A free medical and health awareness camp was organized to facilitate medicines among remote villagers at Laimuti in Chirang district on Thursday.

The camp was organized by the People's Aid, a charitable trust, Kokrajhar in association with National Health Mission, Kokrajhar. Doctors and nurses from the NHM attended the camp    and checked healths of the attending patients from the Laimuti, Daoraigabnai, Sonapur areas. 

Free medicines were distributed among the needy persons being supplied from Health and Family welfare department. 

Malaria  and TB test were also done during the health camp, besides nurse/ANM worker along with the members of the Peoples Aid made a visit  door to door at the villages and distributed medicines among villagers. 

The camp has been organized to create awareness on health care and services among remote areas in the region, said a member of the peoples aid.
