NDFB-S rebels held in Kokrajhar jungle

Kokrajhar: Despite counter insurgency operations, rebels are moving without any hindrance in BTAD areas if repeated encounters, arrest of NDFB(S) are any indication.

Security forces claimed  to have arrested two NDFB-S rebels during a combing operation in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. Acting on some inputs army, police and para military forces launched a combing operation inside the dense jungle of

Haltugaon forest area near Jharbari  where two rebels were caught. Identified as Konjit Basumatary alias B Khamdw and Swmkwr Basumatary they confessed to have been working for NDFB(S). A 7.65 pistol, one revolver, seven live ammunitions, 2-mobile handsets and cash Rs.1400 recovered from their possession
