SA Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs Little Champs, the largest talent hunt cum reality show for children is back in a new Avtar on Zee TV and is marching towards its peak in TRP. The program is aired every Friday and Saturday from 9:30 PM.


Out of over 60,000 contestants all over the country, 6 girls and 6 boys have been selected for the final rounds of this competition.



Antara Nandy is one of the final 6 girl finalist in this show and is representing Assam. Antara is 10 years of age and her home town is Guwahati (Noonmati). She was born at the Pragati Hospital, Sivasagar district of Assam. She started her education at “Budding Buds School” at Tinsukia district of Assam and stayed at Bordoloi Nagar.


Antara’s vocal quality and versatility has attracted all the great judges of the show like Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet, Kailash Kher, Dipika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, Kavita Krishnamurty, Udit Narayan .


Antara has now qualified amongst the top 3 girls which is again a excellent achievement and now onwards it will be decided by public votes (SMS).


Antara’s potential for vocals was spotted at a very early age of 4 years by her school and immediately she started her training on vocals. At the age of 5 years she started her training under the guidance of Padmashree Ustaad Rashid Khan for advance levels


Antara is a student of Delhi Public School and is a bright student. DPS-Ruby Park has encouraged Antara throughout her journey. She also is a student of SIP – ABACUS.


Antara was launched as the youngest classical vocalist at the Prestigious Durbar Hall, Kolkata at the age of 8 years. Antara is also trained in classical’s under the guidance of renowned guru’s like Jayanta Sarkar and Samiran Jana and she obtained tips on modern songs from Simanta Sarkar (Jojo).


She has performed in various shows and is a sought after child artist amongst various section of music connoisseurs in the eastern part of the country. Her biggest shows were at Netaji Indoor stadium, Kolkata in 2008 and in Patna Stadium in 2009.


Antara decided to try her luck in the talent hunt organized by Star TV as well as ZEE TV this year and she got selected for both the programs, finally Antara opted to be go for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs 2009


Little Antara has already shown that she is not only a good singer but also has a good heart thru her act of friendship with the Marathi girl Ananya who did not have any friendz due to a critical skin problem (shedding of skin like a snake every day). This was also shown on the TV and was also a news in many leading national dailies. Antara’s parents also promised to support Ananya in her struggle.

I hope parents make their children realize that music is for the soul and not for competition. These glitzy 'talent hunt' are as fierce as the word 'hunt'. Children think music is meant for competition and competition only. Sad but True...

Rajkhowa takes Rs.5000 cr bribe from govt: PCG member

PCG member Mukul Mahanta charges ULFA Chief Arabind Rajkhowa of accepting a huge amount of money as bribe from the government to start the peace talk.Talking to a private satellite news channel on Tuesday, Mahanta said Rajkhowa received Rs 5000 crore for stage managing arrests of ULFA top guns to enact a drama on peace talk.Mahanta was one of those who were appointed by ULFA to broker peace with the government.

Halder meets Rajkhowa, talks peace process!

Centre's interlocutor PC Halder held a crucial meet with ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa inside the Guwahati Central Jail premises on Tuesday.Halder,the retired intelligence bureau chief is understood to have reviewed ULFA'S preparedness for talk with the government on Tuesday.Halder's talk with Rajkhowa assumes significance in view of the presence of a few top rung ULFA leaders in Nalbari and Barama for joining Rajkhowa's peace procuring bid.Halder visited Rajkhowa on Monday.

Over 170 fall ill after consuming mid-day meal

At least 175 students fell ill after they consumed meal served in school in Dibrugarh district on Monday. The incident took place at No 3 Line LP School in Borbaruah Tea Estate at around 1PM after they consumed mid day meal provided by the school. According to information,half an hour after after they consumed the meal the students,mostly complained stomach pain,some others started vomitting inside the classrooms while aa few of them fell unconscious. ULFA appoints Dohotiya in publicity wing

Altogether 19 top ULFAmen who are supposed to have been arrested in Bangladesh before being handed over to Assam police have been brought to Guwahati. According top police sources,these ULFAmen would not be produced in court as they have surrendered before the authority. 10 top ULFAmen captured in Bangladesh

At least 10 top ULFA leaders have been captured in Bangladesh. According to information,they have been handed over to Indian government on Friday. All these leaders are in Assam police custody. Assam-Nagaland impasse set to end

Caught in an immense pressure from Assam, the Nagaland government on Thursday has suspended an armed personnel citing his involvement in the recent Golaghat incident. According to information from Kohima, NAP(IR) Battalion co-commadent has been suspended in this connection.A team of NSF is understood have held a round of talks with distrcit AASU leaders in Golaghat to discuss the rlockade AASU slammed on Nagaland in different parts of the state demanding action against the culprits.
