Two day Training on Poultry

To create awareness on livestock and poultry farming for self employment, a two day Training programme on Capacity Building under BRGF was organised by SIRD, Amoni and KVK Diphu, Assam Agriculture University in collaboration with Animal Husbandary and Vety Department Dima Hasao on Novemeber 26th and 27th at Haflong.

All together 120 participants from various Self Help Groups of Haflong took aprt in the training.

Dr Mihir Sarma, Junior Scientist, AAU cum Co-ordinator of the collaborative training programme, Dr Mridul Kr Borah, Puoltry Expert cum Hatchery Enterpreur, Dr R K Sinha, Dist. Vety Officer Dima Hasao, Dr B K Kakoti, Vety Asstt. Surgeon Gunjung and Dr S. Bhuiyan, Vety Asstt. Surgeon , Hatikhali attended the training programme as the resource persons.

The participants while requesting to hold more such training for them appreciated the organisers and also hoped that this type of training would surely help them a lot.



Dr Mihir Sarma, Junior Scientist, AAU cum Co-ordinator of the collaborative training programme while talking to the media they are planning to hold more such training programme in Dima Hasao since there has been plenty of scope for livestock and poultry farming for self employment
