Medical check-up for scribes at GNRC Hospital
The GNRC Hospitals in association with Guwahati Press Club has organized a free medical check-up camp for the media persons with their families on December 29 next. The camp, to be held in GNRC Dispur auditorium, will start at 11 am (till 4 pm). The member-journalists with the families can avail the benefits of free consultation with doctors, ECG, Blood Sugar check, Blood Pressure and weight check-up in the camp. Subsequent tests, if any, advised by the doctors will be carried out at discounted rates to help them all. Interested persons can take prior appointment over phone from Mrinal Ali Hazarika (Executive-PR, Marketing, GNRC Hospitals, M-095084 14653) or directly come to the venue on the day of the camp.
Member-journalists are request to participate in the camp.

Veteran actor-director Abdul Majid will attend the Guest of the Month program of Guwahati Press Club (GPC) on June 16 (Monday). The interactive session with the journalists will start at 3 pm. A fortnightly Assamese news magazine named Pasekhia Prekshan was launched today in Guwahati Press Club. The first issue of the news magazine was inaugurated by Nava Thakuria, a city based journalist. A free health camp on manual therapy and pain relief for media persons was organized at Guwahati Press Club today by Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) and College of Physiotherapy & Medical Sciences (CPMS), Guwahati. Over 50 journalists participated in the camp that started at 10 am. Most of the participants diagnosed with continuous pain in neck and back. The camp, conducted under the leadership of IAP president Dr Uma Shankar Mohanty and CPMS principal Dr Ujjal Bhattacharya with physiotherapists Dr Munmun Singha & Dr Kundan Kumar, concluded by 2 pm.
