Sadhana Das passes away

Sadhana Das (69 years), wife of a benevolent social worker of Jorhat Jiten Das has left her mortal body on 21st June, 2007 at Dispur Hospital, Guwahati. She has left behind her husband, her only son Mr. Jyotimoi Das and her two daughters along with many other relatives.

Rain waters start wreaking havoc in Guwahati again after the premier north eastern city was lashed by incessant rains for several our on Tuesday. The Angami Students' Union (SASU) has asked the affected students on the NH-29 Phesama landslide to avail of their accommodation allowance from Monday onwards. Home Minister, Y Patton has provided Rs 5,50,000 to the 1075 affected students of St. Joseph College, Jakhama, Japfü Christian College, Kigwema, St. Paul School, Phesama, Loyola School, Jakhama and Government High School Kigwema. SASU President Teisovi said the allowances will be provided to the students in their respective schools and colleges.

Two railway lines are coming up in Nagaland. Works are expected to begin from November.
