Sadhana Das passes away

Sadhana Das (69 years), wife of a benevolent social worker of Jorhat Jiten Das has left her mortal body on 21st June, 2007 at Dispur Hospital, Guwahati. She has left behind her husband, her only son Mr. Jyotimoi Das and her two daughters along with many other relatives.

Guwahati: ULFA-I has revealed the escape of its leader Biman Asom who is said to have been remaining traceless. New Delhi : The Center has extended the lock down till May 31 with a slew of relaxations.  But these relaxations were on expected line.  PM Narendra Modi kept the nation on guessing giving hint of the lock down with exceptional standard operating procedures. Civilian hurt in Nagaon police firing

Two persons sustained serious injury when security forces sprang upon a group of people who spilled into the streets defying lock down at Barbazar area in Nagaon town on Friday. Sonowal wants extension of lockdown

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that he has urged the Centre to allow the state to continue the lock down by 2 more weeks. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Friday, Sonowal said that many areas in the state are still vulnerable.
