Sadhana Das passes away

Sadhana Das (69 years), wife of a benevolent social worker of Jorhat Jiten Das has left her mortal body on 21st June, 2007 at Dispur Hospital, Guwahati. She has left behind her husband, her only son Mr. Jyotimoi Das and her two daughters along with many other relatives.

Hepatitis B & C screening camp concludes at press club

Guwahati: City-based scribes, who participated in a daylong Hepatitis B and C screening camp at Guwahati Press Club on 9 September 2019, showed an excellent health status as none was reported positive in the blood tests. Organized by Dr Rela Institute & Medical Centre of Chennai, the camp witnessed the participation of over 60 media persons where all the blood samples were tested negative for both the viruses. The process of NRC Update was started in the state of Assam as per order of the Supreme Court of India in 2013. Since then, the Apex Court has been closely monitoring the entire process.
