Very happy to know that the association is continuing to do well and growing. I had the privilege of being the President of the association around 1981-82 when I was a Professor of IIT-Madras ( now Chennai). During Assam Movement, we published the Brahmaputra Beckons. You will be happy to know recently a book by me on the life & events in Majuli was published by Partridge India of Penguin-Random House Group :"An Insane Moon". Guwahati Bandh Hits Normal Life

A 24-hour Kamrup Bandh was called by the co-ordination committee of different trade bodies and chambers of commerce protesting the recent bomb blast at Athgaon.
