Two NLFB arrested with arms

Two hardcore cadre of National Liberation Front of Bengali(NLFB) were arrested with arms from Santinagar in Kokrajhar this evening.

Police said that the hardcore cadres of NLFB were arrested during search operation at Santinagar area under Kokrajhar PS after getting specific information about their presence tis evening in Kokrajhar town.

The arrested were identified as Amar Paul and Chittaranjan Sarkar of Santinagar of Kokrajhar town.

A pistol, magzine,two round live bullet and three mobile handsets were recovered from their possesion.

The arrested cdares were involved with extortion demands from businessmen,besides anti-social activities,police officer said.
