BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Monday asked Congress to remain all prepared to be thrown out in the Lok Sabha polls.
Campaigning for Jorhat BJP candidate Kamakahya Prasad Tasa in Sivasagar in the afternoon, Modi said that the voters will dislodge the party for deceiving the people during the last ten years.
“You have seen the UPA Government at the Centre and the Congress government in the state. But have you seen any visible change on any fronts?” Modi asked people.
He said that during the last ten years Assam remained backward and that only the ruling clique had their fielding days.
Accompanied by senior party leaders including Sarbananda Sonowal and Bijoya Chakrabartty, Modi arrived in Sivasagar by a helicopter at 3 in the afternoon to be greeted by thousands of people.
Then he left for Dibrugarh en route to New Delhi. Lok Sabha polls in this constituency will take place on April 7 along with Tezpur, Dibrugah, Lakhimpur and Koliabor.
