Badminton champs for Anjan, Ranjan
Anjan Buragohain and Ranjan Buragohain from Guwahati clinched the Men's Doubles (open) in the 3rd Kamaleswar Brahma Memorial All India Badminton Championship at KDSA Indoor Stadium in Kokrajhar. The Anjan Buragohain and Ranjan Buragohain pair beat Anirban Chetia and Nikilesh Sarma from Tinsukia on Monday.
In the women's Doubles (open) category, Bibari Basumatary and Manali Sinha from Guwahati overtook their opponents Dimpal Hazorika and Sumitra Pujari from Guwahati to got the trophy.
In the Veterans' Doubles, Raju Chetry and Tajenkaba from Nagaland emerged as champion defeating their home team, pair of Moatemjen and Nochet Ao.
Likewise, Raju Chetry and Tajenkaba in the Men's Doules (open) and Pradip Basumatary and Gyan Ranjan Borah in the Veterans' Doubles bagged the 3rd prizes respectively.
The winners of the Men's Doubles (open), Women's Doubles (open) and Veterans' Doubles were given cash prizes of Rs. 60,000, Rs. 30,000 and 35,000 respectively along with trophies. The Runners up for these categories were also awarded with trophies and cash amount of Rs. 30,000, Rs.15,000 and Rs. 35,000 and the 3rd place holders with Rs. 8,000 each with trophies

A free eye camp has fetched no less appreciation for the Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF) in Kokrahar. People in large number turned up to the five doctors from Nepal at the free medical camp at Patgaon Bazar on Wednesday. BTC executive member Mono Kumar Brahma inaugurated the camp and he himself also checked up his eyes in the camp. The poor patients got all medicines free of cost who participated in the camp.
