Assam is all set to get a health policy soon. Chief minister Tarun Gogoi disclosed it on Saturday. He said that the comprehensive health policy would encompass all health related aspects and would adopt a holistic approach to make the state a healthy one.

After distributing appointment letters to 1,134 newly recruited doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians under National Health Mission, uniforms to 211 ASHA workers at a function at Sarusajai Stadium complex in Guwahati, he said that the government has accorded priority to safe drinking water and sanitation to keep diseases at bay.
