A 36 hour economic blockade is still disrupting the normal functionings of the Oil India Limited in Duliajan on Monday. Thousands of AJCP activists thronged the OIL headquarters and started the blockade alleging a slew of activities that can bring harm to the state.
Talking to Assam Times in Duliajan, protestors said that they won’t allow OIL to continue these functionings which are not good for Assam and its people.
“With this protest we want to tell Prime Minister Narendra Modi that if Rupsikha Bora is not appointed as OIL CMD we will not relent. What forced Modi to skip her promotion?,” said a protestor.
The protestors said, “If the authority refuses to read us we will have no option but to launch a massive agitation raising our demands more forcefully.”
