Bodoland Kickboxing championship begins

The 3rd Bodoland Kickboxing championship, 2015 and first triennial conference, was started from today at Titaguri Iragdao community hall in Kokrajhar. 

The championship was organised Kickboxing Association of Bodoland Territorial Council, Assam and over 150 participants from four districts of the council are participating in various categories of the competition. 

Former MLA and president of Assam Football Association Hemendra Nath Brahma graced the championship as chief guest and inaugurated in the presence of huge crowd of the participants and officials of organising committee. 

The championship saw a healthy amusement amongst participant and publics and the competition was von ducted in five categories like Sime contact, light contact, full contact, tigh kick and low kick. 

Nripendra Chandra Roy, president of the association told that the championship has been began here with three days programme scheduled and participants from four districts are participating. He said that the association was working to creating sports talents in the region and every year holding championship. He also told that the participants who are gaining to show best performance in the championship, they would be fowrded to take park in the national Kickboxing championship to be held in August next in Msharastra state.
