As per state wide launching of the “Mukhyamantrir Sonali Saishab prakolpa- Surakhit Sishu, Surokhit Axom”,Udalguri district administration launched programme centrally at Hattigarh tea garden near Indo-Bhutan border area on January 5 with daylong programme.The programme started with a grand rally participated by more than five hundred students, parents, teachers and members of various students bodies.The programme was formally inaugurated by Dimple Barua, Assistant Commissioner Udalguri at 10.30 am.A seminar on child right was also organized on the occasion at 11 am.Gautam Saharia,DCPO,Udalguri in his welcome speech spoke about the need of launching the new programme.Several distinguished persons namely-Binapani Devi, Chairperson of the programme and members-Manik Sarma, Amarendra Swargiary,Karuna Kanta Ojha,Parashu Ram Bashistha and Ranjit Tanti,President ATTSA Udalguri district committee attended the seminar. Important and burning issues like child labour, woman trafficking,child marriage, child education and child right etc were widely discussed in presence of the people present.The seminar was presided over by Dimple Baruah, Asstt.
