Sarbananda takes homes, finance to Himanta

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will look after political, power and home departments while his second in command Himanta Biswa Sarma will be minister for finance, education, health.

Sonowal has allocated agriculture and veterinary departments to senior minister and AGP president Atul Bora. BPF leader and senior minister Pramila Rani Brahma gets forest and environment portfolios while his AGP counterpart Keshab Mahanta has been given the crucial water resources department.

Chandra Mohan Patowary gets transport, commerce and industry portfolios while Ranjit Dutta gets irrigation, handloom and textiles.

Sonowal has given Rihon Daimary the Public Health Engineering, Food and Civil Supply and Consumer portfolios Naba Kumar Doley gets panchayat and rural development, sports & youth welfare.

Pallav Lochan Das gets labour and employment, tea tribes welfare portfolios.
