UDLF rebels injured in encounter

As many as five UDLF rebels are believed to have sustained injury when they were caught in a gun battle with security forces along Assam-Meghalaya border on Friday.

The encounter took place at Damchera where a group of rebels targetted the CRPF jawans who were on patrolling duty at midnight.

A few of the rebels are learnt to have injured in the half Sn hour long encounter which ended as soon as they vanished in the dense jungle.

Security forces are looking holding joint operation in search of the injured rebels along the interstate border areas.
