Prime minister Narendra Modi is all set to reshuffle his cabinet on Sunday morning where as many as seven faces are missing paving the way for ten others which include Himanta Biswa Sarma from Assam.
Top BJP leaders said that Himanta Biswa Sarma is likely to be inducted as a minister ox state in the new team who has been drawing no less applaud from the central party leadership for his relentless efforts to ensure BJP victory in the assembly polls in Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram early next year.
“Sarma, the man who is known to be the chief ministerial aspirant would be inducted this time. Modi and party boss Amit Shah finalized the move firstly to ensure safety of Sarbanabda Sonowal as chief minister amid speculation of Sarma’s stepped up efforts capture the hot seat.
“Secondly, inducting Sarma in the council of minister, Sarma would be deployed mainly with the political parleys in his home region since has been looking after NEDA,” said a senior political analysist in Delhi.
Sarma is in Delhi to take oath at 10 in the morning on Sunday where Chief minister Sarbanana Sonowal along with a few of his cabinet colleagues are expected to attend the swearing in ceremony.
