The Assam assembly session began on a stormy note on Monday where the Opposition Congress walked out of the floor alleging government failure to properly deal with the issues confronting the state and it's people.

Apart from flood, Nagaon incident and corruption cases, Congress tried to corner the government for failing to bring down the soaring prices of essential commodities.

As the Congress legislators started taking on the government alleging failure, a section of BJP and AGP counterparts trading counter charges against the opposition which resulted in an uproar.

When they alleged to have received no positive response from Speaker Hintendra Nath Goswami, the Congress legislators staged walk out.
