An irate mob thrashed a youth as he made an abortive attempt to snatch a bag from a person in Hojai on Thursday. Identified as Manjit Das, the local resident of Koochbihar was handed-over to Police to be arrested on the spot.
According to information, Manjit was trying to snatch a bag from a retired teacher named Gopal Sahu, when he was on the way to the State Bank of India,J.K Kedia Road to deposit money.
Police seized some currency of Bhutan along with some documents from his possession.
