Tezpur: In a rare show of solidarity, a group of Muslim people reached out to a Hindu family to help the members overcome a crises of humanity.
The incident that sets an example of Hindu-Muslim bonhomie took place in Bihpuria in Biswanath district on Thursday when a group of Muslim villagers came out to a Hindu family at Ward No 1 where a women breathed her last on Monday midnight.
The family members was caught on dire trouble since the neighbours refused to come out of their homes fearing COVID infection. The body of the 68 year old lady remained abandoned.
Then the Muslim villagers on Thursday came out to rescue the family and took away the body observing all Hindu formalities where her son lit up the pyre assisted by the Muslim neighbours.
