AMC begins diamond jubilee celebration

The Assam Medical College begins its diamond jubilee celebration on Thursday.

The celebration is marked by the inauguration of the main gate by Ratani Devi Jain while parliamentary secretary for health Jiban Tara Ghatowar inaugurated the trade and scientific exhibition at colourful function.

As many as 2500 alumni meet in the special session Two sessions were held in this meet. The first session was attended by Dr Dulal Barthakur and Dr Thaneswar Bora while the second session was attended by Dr Farukuddin Ahmed and Dr Hadi Alam Bora. Both the sessions were conducted by the AMC Principal Dr TR Borbora.

The state’s first medical college brought out a souvenir on the occasion which was released by former AMC principal Dr Deepali Dutta.
