Sadhana Das passes away

Sadhana Das (69 years), wife of a benevolent social worker of Jorhat Jiten Das has left her mortal body on 21st June, 2007 at Dispur Hospital, Guwahati. She has left behind her husband, her only son Mr. Jyotimoi Das and her two daughters along with many other relatives.

New book 'Sara Phule Kotha Kole' released

Congress expels senior leader

Guwahati: The state Congress has expelled senior leader and Golaghat MLA Ajanta Neog on Friday amid the speculations of her preparedness to join BJP. Christmas festivity grips Assam

Guwahati: Midnight carols and special prayers in the churches and the public prayers marked Christmas across the state on Friday. Following the COVID19 protocols,  people of all walks from the Christians thronged the churches for special prayers on the occasion. Pramod Boro to take over as BTC chief

Guwahati: It's official.
