All worries seem to have bubbled up for Congress. That too in the time of Rahul Gandhi’s much-hyped visit.
The most disappointing news struck the ruling party at 1 in the afternoon when KMSS threatened to spoil the great visit if the government fails to give land pattas to all genuine families by Monday.
KMSS president Akhil Gogoi has already written to Gandhi disclosing the agitation. Gogoi said that the ball was in the chief minister’s court.
Towards the evening, another troublesome development took place. The cable operators announced 12 hour strike from 10 morning to 10 evening on February 25 demanding steps to end the conflict with the Assam State Electricity Board regarding the monthly charge on the use of cables.
On the other hand, the LPG dealers are also waiting to strike on February 25 when Rahul Gandhi will be on two days visit to the state. The LPG dealers have been demanding one price in one country.
If the government fails to end the impasse, Gandhi’s visit would not be allowed to pass off peacefully.
