Workshop on Legal Procedures for Village Headmen Held in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, JULY 11:  A workshop cum training program on customary courts and basic legal procedures was organized at Gaonburha Bhawan, Khargaon in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. The event, aimed at enhancing legal awareness among village headmen, was conducted by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kokrajhar.

Hundreds of Gaonburas from Kokrajhar and Chirang districts participated in the workshop. Sumit Bhuyan, Secretary of DLSA Kokrajhar, served as the resource person. He delivered comprehensive talks on Juvenile Justice, POCSO Act, and Child Marriage.

Bhuyan emphasized the importance of legal knowledge for citizens and highlighted the workshop's role in achieving this goal. Participants expressed their gratitude for the informative session and praised the workshop's focus on practical legal procedures.
