Assam State Electricity Board(ASEB) sports clinched the 13th Jwhwlao Swmbla Basumatary Gold Cup Trophy defeating Rhino Football club from Golaghat by 1-0 goals in the final match at the Bangaldoba ground in Chirang district on Sunday.
William Gangeb of ASEB scored his lone goal against Rhino in the first 25th minutes and led the match in 1-0. Rhino tried to reduce the game in draw. But failed to score goal during the match and lost to ASEB in 1-0 goal.

The chief minister on Saturday asked his Urban development department to prepare the modalities of 'Smart City' as Guwahati has found a place in the list of 100 such cities envisioned by the Centre.
Chief minister’s office sources told Assam Times that a 'Smart' city's urban competitiveness was enhanced by advanced technologies including Information and Communication Technology and other means.

At least six pieces of Sal logs were seized by forest official and nature lovers at Gongia River near Balanga bazaar late last night in Kokrajhar district. According to sources, logs were brought through river by smugglers late last night, but later seized by forest department and nature lover citizens.
