Congress demands CM’s resignation

Guwahati: State Congress staged dharna in Dispur on Wednesday demanding Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s resignation alleging his involvement in the recent test for recruitment of police sub inspector.

State party president Ripun Bora alleged involvement of Chief Minister’s Officer on Special Duty Ranjit Majumdar in the entire scam. Bora further dared the government to institute a judicial probe into it.

On the other hand, AIUDF also demanded CBI probe into the entire scam where question papers meant for police sub inspector recruitment test went viral on social media on September 20.
