Debananda Konwar is all set to put in his papers as Tripura Governor on Saturday to again enter into the state politics in the ruling Congress.
The vetern Congressman and former Assam minister is likely to tender his resignation before President Pranab Mukherjee in view of the Centre’s move to replace the governors appointed by the erstwhile UPA government.
Konwar was appointed as governor of Bihar a couple of years back and last year he was transferred to Tripura in the same capacity.
According to sources, Konwar who has a close assciation with Sonia Gandhi is likley to join politics again where Congress is enjoying absolute majority.
