In a bid to tap the budding potential of school students in
athletics the 1st Inter-
Udalguri District School Atheletics Meet-2018 was organized here at
Tangla Stadium ground in
Udalguri district on Saturday. The event organized by
Tangla Sports Association was witnessed widespread participation of nearly 300 athletes from 25 different schools of
Udalguri district. The
sports competitions included Running Race,Long Jump,High Jump,Javelin,Discuss,Shotput Throw,
Rally among others were held for both Boys and Girls categories. The opening ceremony was attended by former Panery MLA,Kumud

Anti-social elements have resurfaced in buisiness hub of Udalguri district Tangla. Reportedly on Wednesday night thiefs raided multiple shops at bus stand area including theft at a grocery store located at M.B Road belonging to Rabindra Sarkar. Reportedly Panery police recovered the dead body of one Gauranga Das (50) a resident of Babupara locality under Panery PS. The dead body was recovered from a urinal tank Monsibasti area. Three girls who went missing from Dhansirighat of Orang under Udalguri district on Saturday have been rescued from Rangia railway station on Monday.
