Sadhana Das passes away

Sadhana Das (69 years), wife of a benevolent social worker of Jorhat Jiten Das has left her mortal body on 21st June, 2007 at Dispur Hospital, Guwahati. She has left behind her husband, her only son Mr. Jyotimoi Das and her two daughters along with many other relatives.

Why non Garo teachers in Garo areas!

The All A'chik Youth Federation Assam State Zone (AAYF ASZ) is unhappy with the Assam government for not recruiting teachers in LP School for the Garo Medium LP School. Flash flood wreaks havoc: 1 dead

The incessant rains in the catchment areas of Arunachal Pradesh creates no less havoc in Sonitpur and Biswanath districts of Assam in the form of a ravaging flash flood.One person met watery grave while nearly 8,000 people have been rendered homeless during the last three days. Army worms wreaking havoc in Kojrajhar
