There seems to be marginal let up in the flood scene during the last 24 hours following the halt of rains that lashed the catchment areas. The water levels of the Brahmaputra and its tributaries have shown receding trend during the last 12 hours much to a major respite for millions of people who have been rendered homeless. But the blues have refused to die down where there is report of ten more deaths and with this the toll had gone up to 40 till Friday.
