Disrupting leopard killed, consumed in Namrup

NAMRUP:A section of people in a remote hamlet in Namrup killed a leopard hours after it killed a lady and hurt 3 others in a series of attack on Friday morning. Not only that after lynching, the villagers cut the animal into pieces in full view of the forest officials. Then they  claimed to have consumed it triggering widespread anger among the animal lovers.

These disturbing incidents took place in Majkopihuwa goan and Asomiya Gaon where the local villagers in large number chased the leopard after it killed Maikon Gogoi and injuring three others in s series of attacks in the morning.

The animal then was beaten up to death. A section of them cut it into pieces to vanished. Some of them later claimed to have consumer it which needs to be probed.

The reason why the leopard attacked people is not mentioned. A leopard won't just go on an attack spree. I would assume that these would have been either chance encounters or the leopard retaliating when provoked

The Central Bureau of Investigation probing the Saradha scam quizzed Nalini Chidambaram in Kolkata on Sunday to unearth her link with Sudipto Sen.The CBI sleuths at the Salt Lake questioned the wife of former Union minister P Chidambaram for several hours acting on Sudipta Sen’s letter where he claimed to have paid more than Rs 1 crore to her at the instance of Manoranjana Singh. In an 18-page letter to CBI, Sen alleged that he paid for Nalini Chidambaram's visits to Kolkata and for her stays in a 5-star hotel.   
HANTIGIRI NARZARY, KOKRAJHAR: BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary has slammed the state government for not allowing financial support to the council for implementing the propose projects included in the historic Bodo Accord. DIBYA J BORTHAKUR, RAHA: A truck driver lost his life in Raha when a huge tree fell on his vehicle on the way to Nagaon from Guwahati ion Monday.The incident took place near Jongal Balahu Garh on the National Highway 37 where his assistant sustained serious injury. A local court at Alipore in Kolkata on Saturday sent Sadananda Gogoi to jail for five days after CBI produced him for the third time after his arrest in Saradha scam. CBI probing the multi core scam produced him before the court. But they did not seek him in their remand for the time being. Then the court sent him to jail till September 25. CBI arrested him on September 13 and got him in their remand do five days which expired on September 17 but only to be extended till Saturday.
