Sadhana Das passes away

Sadhana Das (69 years), wife of a benevolent social worker of Jorhat Jiten Das has left her mortal body on 21st June, 2007 at Dispur Hospital, Guwahati. She has left behind her husband, her only son Mr. Jyotimoi Das and her two daughters along with many other relatives.

Opp attacks CM, PM on flood scene

The Opposition launched scathing attack on the BJP-led government in Assam on Monday alleging the brimful misery of the flood-hit people. A full grown rhino met watery grave in Kaziranga leaving the animal lovers in utter shock on Monday. Forest guards in the Agaratoli range of the national park have recovered the floating carcass in the morning. More rains might compound the flood fury in the next couple of weeks in Assam. The famed Kaziranga National Park, Pobitora wildlife Sanctuary have been reeling under waters fetching brimful misery for the one horn rhinos and other birth and animal. New platform for NE scribes formed

Luitpar Club initiative for book reading

Luitpar Club in Narengi Campus of Oil India Limited recently organized a unique initiative for encouraging reading habit among the residents, primarily the young people in the colony.
